Be Aware of the Fog...

It was one of those foggy misty days in Kansas today.
I kind of like the fog actually. Except when you have to drive through it on a highway at night, that does not make me like the fog. I know one time last year I was driving on the highway one foggy night on my way home, and I seriously would like slow down to 35 mph...just because I could barely see. It was freaky. Maybe I was a lil' too paranoid. Probably. But hey, it's okay to be scared of fog at night, right?

One other good thing about the fog, it makes pictures look pretty cool. :)
Just do me a favor, don't drive long distances on foggy nights, okay?

My Geeky Side is Coming Out...

I'm a geek.
I'm president of our business club on campus. Pretty cool huh?
This weekend we had a conference for all PBL clubs in Kansas, where we take tests, do presentations and win awards. It was pretty awesome. I've concluded boys have more fun than girls. The guys on our trip were absolutely hilarious. They were definitely my entertainment for the weekend.
The one thing I hate about the business conference or business things in general...no creativity with your clothes. And if you do look creative, you look unprofessional. So I usually stick with lots of black. It's the way to go for business. At least it's classy though. :)

Shirt: Target. Skirt: F21. Shoes: Walmart.

Go show your geeky side today...play some chess or something. ;)

Play me some blues...off of that BLUE piano!

I wish I could play the piano well.
But unfortunately, the piano hates me. It always has ever since I was like 7 yrs. old. I never liked to practice. I never liked memorizing the notes. So eventually I gave up on piano after a few years. But in middle school I decided I missed it... But it didn't matter, because the piano did not miss me. And eventually I gave up again. In High school, I decided I missed its beautiful music again. Then gave up again. So you see, the piano and me just aren't meant to be. It's quite a sad ordeal. Maybe someday, I'll magically be able to play the piano well...okay, I doubt it. So instead, I'll just take pictures on a blue piano. That seems to work better.

This piano in the pictures is probably the coolest color of blue I've ever seen of a piano.
I kinda wish I owned it...
Maybe someday I'll have a blue piano like this in my home.
I know you secretly want one too!

Oh pianos, I hope they don't hate you as much as they hate me... :)

Ready. Set. Go.

So, I'm off to go jogging. And I'm just a tid bit excited about it? Why? Because have you been outside? It's so beautiful. and perfect. and just simply glorious. I don't think it's possible to be in a bad mood on this day. And I think a jog can only make my mood better.
Romper: Plato's closet. Belt: I don't know. Cardi: Rue 21. Boots: WM(Walmart).

The weather makes me crazy.

So, I would just like to point out that I'm wearing a romper today. Yes, a romper. Isn't it awesome? I think I probably spent months searching for the perfect romper...I don't know if you've ever realized this but rompers tend to look quite hidious on... But, some people can pull them off. Either because you have one of those model type bodies...or you just found the perfect fitting romper. I found the perfect fitting romper. And I love it.

Okay, that's it.

Go do something awesome outside today. Like a picnic! :)

Sometimes I just Fall in Love...

With Kansas.
I know people always complain about the dramatic weather changes in Kansas. But, if you think about it...it's actually pretty cool that within two weeks it can go from -2 degrees to 50 degrees here. We basically experience all seasons within a month.
So next time there's an ice storm...just remember that next week you will probably be able to wear shorts. So it's not like you have deal with snow for the same amount of time that Alaska does. :)

Cardi: Rue 21. Shirt/dress: F21. Belt: Charlotte Russe. Jeans: Paris Blues. Boots: Deb.

Maybe it's time for you to fall in love with Kansas... :)

A Lover, Hater, or a Care Lesser?

So I think there are three kinds of people in this world:
The lovers of Valentine's Day.
The haters of Valentine's Day.
The I could care lesser's of Valentine's Day.

I fall into the third column.

I don't dislike Valentine's day for any reason and nor do I love it for any reason. In fact, I actually get a bit annoyed of the Valentine's Day haters... I guess if you've had horrible experiences I can give you a break. But really, Valentine's Day isn't all that bad folks. Even if you are single. It actually gives you an excuse to dress up or just do something fun and random with people you love. Don't worry, I'm not swaying into the first column...I'm just stating that you can make V-day however the heck you want it to be.

Cardi: Target. I <3 Chicago shirt: Pink. Shorts: Miley Cyrus. Socks: WM. Loafers: WM.

Here's for the lovers:

Here's for the haters:

And here's for the I could care lessers:

Do me a favor...don't complain about Valentine's Day next year. Go do something crazy...like bungee jump off a bridge. That'll make it a good V-day for sure!

Peace.

Love,
  Jessi :)

I get lazy...

So I have this problem...called laziness. Also another thing called a cold. Both have this effect on me to where I want to do nothing, take naps, wear sweatpants and don't put any effort into what I'm wearing. Those 2 reasons explains the lack of posts lately. It took enough effort to just get out of bed and do homework and go to class...let alone actually put thought into what I'm wearing.

This weekend was a chick flick kind of weekend. I watched 27 Dresses and The Notebook with one of my favorite friends on Friday...and then watched Life as we Know it with my sister 'n law and almost sister 'n law. Definitely my kind of weekend...just relaxing but filled with the best people and good heart to heart conversations.

Anywho...

Cardi: Wet Seal. Shirt: WM. Vest: thrift store. Leggings: WM. Boots: sister's.

So...I hope you are got to watch some good movies this weekend...even if they weren't chick flicks! :)

Tis the season...

For the flu bug! Which I don't have...but I have been fighting a cold this weekend. And I'm so grateful it's just been a cold so far because I can still do everything I want for the most part, I just have to put a lot more effort into everything I do because I have no energy. I've actually probably been wearing myself out more than I should because I've still done quite a bit this weekend when I should have been like napping or something. Oh well. I'll just keep taking my vitamin C's. Does your mom ever tell you to do that when you get sick? That's all my mom asks me, "have you been taking your vitamins?" Well, that's not completely true. She does ask if I'm feeling better or if I need anything. She is pretty great. :)

Cardigan: Sam's club. Tee: CCC shirt. Shorts: Hollister. Leggings: F21. Boots: Walmart.

I hope you don't have the flu or the cold...remember, take your vitamins! :)

Two Gems in my Life

Meet two very precious people in my life.
Sarah and Molly.
Two marvelous ladies that I wonder how I ever lived without.
Do you have those friends that no matter how cruddy your day is going or how tired you are, the moment you see them suddenly your day is 10 times brighter? That's what Sarah and Molly do for me. Both of them inspire me to be a woman after God's own heart. And they both teach me how to smother people with love, even if I don't feel like it. The backround chosen for our pictures is kind of a weird backround, but we picked it because this is where we spend our Thursday nights each week watching indoor soccer together. Well...we say we watch it, we really just talk and giggle the whole time. :)
But at any rate, it is a special place to us.
I'm so entirely blessed to know them.

Sarah, Molly, and me!

I hope you have friends like Sarah and Molly in your life...they make life a blast!

The END of a blizzard...

Blizzards...
I always wondered what one would be like...now I know. Not all that fun. And no snow day... But that's okay, because my friends I had a blast with blankets and hot chocolate! :) Nothing beats that!

But I've learned something, cold weather DOES NOT make me want to look cute. All I want to do is be in sweats all day...and a blanket. I think it'd be kind of fun to take a blanket to class someday. But I probably would never have the guts to do it.

But, impressively enough, I did manage to get dressed up today and yesterday.
Today, it got up to like 23 degrees...which ironically felt very warm compared to 2 degrees so I was brave and wore a dress and boots...no leggings. I'm crazy. Or at least pretty much everyone thought I was. But for these pictures I put on leggings...because I finally decided warmth is better.

Cardigan: Target. Dress: K-mart. Leggings: WM. Boots: Deb.

My dad's jacket. It's so warm!

I hope your brother, boyfriend, or dad lets you borrow one of their jackets to stay warm in. Because it's fun to wear oversized clothes! :)

Love,
 Jessi
